Natural herbs for kidney diseases.

In the previously presented article, some natural herbs used for kidney diseases were

            discussed, and two valuable herbs were further discussed. Moreover, there are many

            other such herbs used for kidney diseases. It will be discussed at length in today's

            article.

                      ·         Saw palmetto berries ( Serenoa serrulata)



       This medicinal plant is also known as Pan Palm, and Dwarf palmetto. The part

            this herbal plant is a proven medicine for many kidney-related diseases. This herb

            helps in treating urinary and kidney problems caused by the prostate. Moreover,

            these useful herbs promote frequent urination and complete emptying of the bladder.

            This plant is useful for asthma, sore throat, colds, bronchitis, and cough, as well as

            for all diseases of the reproductive organs, ovaries, prostate, and testicles. Side

            effects may include stomach aches and headaches.

·         Peach (Amygdalus persica)



       Peach is often used as a fruit but also has medicinal properties. The parts used

for medicine are the barks, leaves, and branches. Its medicinal properties are relaxant,

            demulcent, sedative, aromatic, laxative, diuretic, expectorant. It is widely used to

            alleviate the pain in the pelvic area caused by kidney disorders. Also here are the

            leaves that help to stop cough, bronchitis, and morning sickness during pregnancy. It

            also cures the irritation of the mucous membranes of the stomach. How to use it If

            making an infusion, add a teaspoon of leaves to a cup of water or an of leaves to a

            pint of boiling water. Two or three cups can be taken during the day and one cup

            before breakfast. 

·         Ginger (Zingiber officinale)



      Ginger (Zingiber officinale) is a flowering plant widely used as a spice and folk

            medicine. Ginger belongs to the Zingiberaceae family. Ginger is a popular spice

            and medicine all over the world. Various studies have found that ginger has beneficial

            effects on the kidneys. Ginger protects kidneys from inflammation. Studies have also

            shown that people with diabetes have better kidney function when given ginger

            supplements.

         Ginger has more oxalates, but most of them are soluble and more absorbable.

There is no need to fear that eating or cooking ginger will add significant amounts

            of oxalates to your diet. But if someone has high urinary oxalate levels, ginger

            supplements should be avoided, according to doctors. But before adding a lot of

            ginger to your diet, there is a health risk that you should be aware of. Ginger has an

            anticoagulant effect. If taking a blood thinner, avoid ginger supplements. Also, since

            ginger can lower blood pressure, if you are taking ginger supplements, you should

            tell your doctor about it, especially if you are taking blood pressure medication.

            Taking very high doses of ginger (more than 4 grams per day) can cause stomach

            upset, gas, diarrhea, heartburn, and mouth and throat irritation. However, doctors

            recommend that if you want to add ginger to your renal diet, use pure ginger rather

            than supplements.

·         Dandelion



       Considered a bane by gardeners and a boon to herbalists and health enthusiasts,

the dandelion plant is, a perennial plant, that thrives throughout Europe, Asia, and

North America. All parts of this plant including leaves, roots, and flowers are edible

            and some parts are considered medicinal. It is best suited for diseases related to the

            kidney and urinary tract.

 

                  These plant leaves contain vitamins A, B-complex, C, and D. It also provides the

            minerals iron, potassium, and zinc. Its most important property is its diuretic effect,

            which promotes increased urine production. It also replaces potassium that may be

            lost in the urine.
